Dokolo-Two people have been arrested in Dokolo for impersonating as Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) officers.

The suspects are identified as Francis Wece and Omara Juma both residents of Agwata subcounty in Dokolo district.

They were nabbed on Tuesday morning at Adwoki trading center donning UPDF uniform and taken to Dokolo police station.

According to Barbra Akech, the Dokolo Resident District Commissioner, upon their arrest, the suspects were found with arrows and spears.

She says after recording a police statement, the suspects were transferred to Lira army barracks.

The RDC condemned the act noting that it’s illegal for a civilian to dress in UPDF attire.
