Anglican church storms Kampala city with gospel walk

Kampala– The Anglican Diocese of Kampala on Saturday morning conducted a gospel walk throughout Kampala city.

The Jubilee Gospel Match which was led by Dr. Hannington Mutebi, the Assistant Bishop of the diocese started at All Saints Cathedral Kampala and ended at St. John’s Makerere C.O.U where prayers were organized.

According to Bishop Mutebi, the match was held to take the gospel closer to the city dwellers and also pray for their well-being.

“The reason we are taking this walk first and foremost is to pray for this city that Jesus will take over, we pray for the prosperity of Kampala because this is where we earn our living and we want to see that our city is transformed and peaceful and that every city dweller enjoys his or her presence in this city.” Said Bishop Mutebi

He added, “This walk is also marking 50 years of the diocese of Kampala ever since its inception in 1972 so we want to encourage and call upon all of you to join us in these celebrations.”

On 20th August 2022, the diocese will hold another walk dubbed Archbishop’s Jubilee Slum Transformation Charity walk aimed at transforming slums in the city. See more here:
