Renowned former Miss Uganda and long-serving MP Cecilia Ogwal dies aged 77

The news of her death, attributed to cancer, came from close family members, revealing that she breathed her last in a hospital in India on Thursday morning.

Known for her service in Uganda’s legislature since 1996, Ogwal played crucial roles in various parliamentary committees, including the Committee of Physical Infrastructure and the budget committee.
