Dokolo March 14

As the citizens of Dokolo prepare to cast their votes on March 21, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) candidate, Janet Rose Adongo Elau, has gained a strong backing from the area’s Members of Parliament, Felix Okot and Ogwal Moses Goli.

Campaigning in Okwalongwen, Bata town council and Dokolo sub county for NRM Janet Rose Adongo Elau, MP Okot shared a compelling reason for why voters should choose the NRM candidate in the upcoming by-election – the NRM government’s role in bringing peace to the district and the region.

For years, the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) terrorized the region, leaving behind a trail of destruction and sorrow. However, under the leadership of President Yoweri Museveni and the NRM government, the insurgency has been successfully contained.

MP Okot believes that this would not have been possible without the support of the NRM.

He recalls how the NRM government provided him and his fellow fighters with weapons and resources to combat the LRA.

According to Okot this support was crucial in weakening the rebels and eventually driving them out of the region.

“The NRM government has been committed to uplifting the standards of living in our region, and we have seen tangible results,” Okot said.

MP Goli Moses confirmed that Dokolo North will start experiencing good road network, Power, and clean drinking water.

He said what central government is sending is not reaching the community and pledged to make a follow up.

NRM flag bearer Janet Rose Adongo Elau is hopeful in the Dokolo by-election because of introducing the Voucher Plus project which has been a resounding success.

Since its inception, over 18,000 children have been born under the project.

This means that 18,000 mothers and their babies have received the necessary care and support during this crucial time.

All the family members and relatives of the 18,000 children born under the Voucher Plus project have pledged to vote for Janet, further solidifying her support and popularity in the area.

Janet’s hard work and dedication has not gone unnoticed. Her efforts have received praise from the local community.

The support for the NRM candidate, Janet Rose Adongo Elau, is evident in the enthusiasm and excitement shown by the community.

“We have seen the positive impact the NRM government has had on our region, and we believe that their candidate will continue to work for the betterment of our people,” said Judith Acar the Okwalongwen Subcounty NRM Chairperson
