UPC’s Patrick Ojuka, also known as Ojuka Locken, has officially announced his candidature for the 2026-31 general elections.
He is determined to unseat the longest-serving Member of Parliament for Dokolo South, Felix Okot Ogong.
Recently at a press conference in Lira City, Mr. Ojuka Patrick Locken confidently stated that he has consulted with the people of Dokolo South and is convinced that he will not only win the UPC party primary but also emerge victorious in the general election to become the 12th parliamentarian for Dokolo South.
According to Ojuka “Am well aware of the problems and challenges faced by the people of Dokolo South and am ready to address them through effective representation and lobbying once am elected in 2026”.
Ojuka who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, his manifesto focuses on Education, Health, Agriculture, and Infrastructure as key areas of concern.
Other issues that Ojuka has also prioritized is the poor state of roads and bridges, lack of electricity, inadequate medical facilities, and the need for better learning environments and teacher training.
He plans to collaborate with the education department in the district and organize seminars for teachers to improve the quality of education in Dokolo South.
Last year, Dokolo was named among the worst-performing districts in terms of education quality, and Ojuka is determined to change that.
He has promised to find immediate solutions to these problems and bring about positive change for the people of Dokolo South.
On the topic of healthcare, Ojuka has promised to purchase an ambulance for the people of Dokolo South, recognizing the importance of access to quality healthcare.
As we approach the campaign season, local concerns such as infrastructure development, healthcare access, and education quality will take center stage, greatly influencing the voters’ decisions and candidate strategies.
Ojuka Patrick Locken firmly believes that he is the only candidate who can bring about real change in Dokolo South.
