DOKOLO: In a rally at Amonoloco village, Okwalongwen parish, Dokolo North, Josephine Acen Okullo, affectionately known as “Ojuci” by her aging political followers, has made a promise to take up the education and health needs of the community if she is elected to represent the area in the 12th parliament.
With a passionate appeal to her constituents, Acen emphasized her commitment to supporting the education of PLE and USE Stars, who are transitioning to another level of education.
”As long as you are willing to continue with your studies in Dokolo, I am ready to support your education,” she declared.
The aspiring MP’s promise resonated with the crowd, who have been yearning for a leader to prioritize their needs.
Okullo’s manifesto also includes setting up skill centers in parishes to promote skill development, particularly among the youth.

On the health front, Okullo pledged to send health experts to conduct free screening on various diseases every six months, aiming to promote healthy families.
She also promised to support older persons and different groups to boost their livelihood standards.
Her campaign task force member, Agnes Akot, urged women in Dokolo North to take the lead in campaigning for Okullo, emphasizing that men would only be needed to back them up.

“It’s time for women to take charge and elect a leader who understands their needs,” Akot said.
Local resident Alfonse Adekere noted that Okwalongwen sub-county is in dire need of development, but the lack of electricity has hindered progress.
He praised Okullo’s manifesto, saying that the community should not take it for granted.
Even a member of the NRM party, Alfred Omara Acale, who is supporting Okullo an independent candidate, acknowledged her strong chances of winning the seat.
“When we were campaigning in the NRM party primary election, all our candidates were fearing that Acen would win them in the general election,” he revealed.
Okullo’s unique approach to politics, which prioritizes the needs of her constituents, has generated significant excitement in the community.
As the only female candidate vying for the Dokolo North parliamentary seat with her manifesto centered on education, health, and economic empowerment, Okullo seems poised to make a significant impact in Dokolo North.
