‎Kampala, Uganda – The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Party Presidential Candidate, General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, has made a series of promises to the residents of Nakawa Division in Kampala Capital City during an NRM presidential campaign rally.

‎Addressing a massive crowd at the rally, Museveni emphasized his plans to establish a General Hospital in each of the 5 divisions of Kampala Capital City, leaving Mulago National Referral Hospital to focus on super-specialized health services.

He expressed concern over the Ministry of Health’s decision to designate Kiruddu and Kawempe hospitals as National Referral Hospitals, contrary to initial plans for City Division hospitals.

‎The NRM presidential candidate also promised to fast-track plans to settle the Nakawa-Naguru land matter, a long-standing issue that has affected the area.

‎Museveni criticized opposition politicians for discrediting the NRM government’s contributions to Uganda’s development and socioeconomic transformation, citing efforts in industrialization, service sector delivery, wealth creation, and job opportunities.

‎He cautioned the people of Nakawa Division against voting for opposition politicians, whom he described as ideologically bankrupt and intent on causing harm.

‎On environmental conservation, Museveni discouraged the construction of buildings in wetlands around Nakawa Division and recommended fish farming on wetland edges as a profitable and environmentally friendly alternative.

The NRM presidential candidate guided residents on viable wealth creation opportunities in poultry and other enterprise sectors outlined in the NRM Manifesto, which he recommended for city dwellers in Nakawa Division.

‎Museveni emphasized that the NRM government’s mass wealth creation plan aims to save the country.

‎ He noted that the NRM government is committed to wealth creation as a foundation for qualitative and quantitative growth and development.

‎The NRM presidential candidate cautioned the electorate against voting for opposition politicians who are green about strategic national leadership principles, blaming them for engaging in corruption and failing to monitor government wealth creation initiatives.

‎On flood relief, Museveni promised to engage flood victims who reported losses in the recent floods in Kampala.

‎In his concluding remarks, Museveni advised the electorate of Nakawa Division to vote for NRM flag bearers at all levels for improved service delivery.

‎The First Lady, Maama Jannet Kataha Museveni, who accompanied her husband to the rally, urged residents of Nakawa Division to translate their massive turnout at NRM rallies into actual votes on polling day, affirming their support for the country’s development and socioeconomic transformation.
