Eswatini — The Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini has announced the successful repatriation of a Cambodian national, Mr. Pheap Rom, to his country of origin.
According to a statement, government informed the Nation of the successful repatriation of Mr. Pheap Rom, one of the third country nationals received from the United States of America, to his country of origin, the Kingdom of Cambodia, thisweek.
The repatriation was facilitated through close coordination with the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia and support from the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
In a statement, Acting Government Spokesperson Thabile Mdluli expressed appreciation for the cooperation and goodwill extended throughout the process.
”Government expresses its sincere appreciation for the cooperation, support, and goodwill extended throughout this process, including the facilitation of Mr Rom’s return and reintegration. This development forms part of ongoing efforts by the Government to address the presence of Third Country Nationals currently residing in the Kingdom” the statement reads in part.
Thabile Mdluli said the repatriation is part of ongoing efforts to address the presence of Third Country Nationals in Eswatini.
Eswati are assured that Government will continue to manage this matter with diligence, transparency, and in accordance with national laws andinternational obligations.
