Kyankwanzi: President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has reminded the current Generational leaders of their role in fostering the prosperity of Africa, political heritage and political unity for strategic security in the four dimensions of Land, Air, Sea and Space.
He was today officially opening the Leaders’ Retreat for the newly elected NRM MPs and party-leaning Independents at the National Leadership Institute, Kyankwanzi.

He congratulated newly elected leaders on their victory and the NRM’s strong performance and reminded them that they must address their weaknesses to do even better.
Museveni emphasised that they are now leaders who must deepen their understanding of ideology, philosophy and strategy in order to diagnose society’s problems and prescribe solutions.
”This generation must end poverty by creating prosperity through production, not begging or corruption. Every adult must earn from producing a good or a service. I look forward to the engagements of the week ahead” he said.
Museveni rallies newly elected NRM Members of Parliament to align to the party’s core ideological values in execution of their mandate to drive national development and socioeconomic transformation agenda.

President Yoweri Museveni told the MPs-elect that their elevation from mere Party supporters and carders to leaders requires them understand the clear difference between ideology, philosophy and strategy for proper guidance of their electorate.
Yoweri Kaguta Museveni warns that the global conflicts scenario covering the Gulf and other parts of the world signal Africa’s urgent need to build the continent’s own security guarantees to overcome risks from the current vulnerabilities.

He notes that Africa’s need to consolidate and solidify its security preparedness against external aggression is long overdue and he has rallied the newly elected NRM MPs to advance that agenda in their discourse.
