Kabale Residents Urged to Maximize Land Utilization for Wealth Creation

As the 2021 Presidential elections in Uganda draw closer, political rallies are in full swing across the country.

In Kabale District, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party’s Presidential candidate, General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, called upon the residents to focus on proper land utilization for wealth creation.

‎‎In his speech at the campaign rally held at Kigezi High School Lower Play Grounds, Museveni emphasized the need for individuals and homesteads alike to adopt profitable farming methods and ventures.‎‎

The NRM Presidential candidate highlighted the issue of shrinking land holdings per household in Kabale District due to rapid urbanization.

This, he said, calls for careful planning and implementation of wealth creation strategies, as outlined in the NRM guide on lucrative enterprises. ‎‎

These include poultry farming, dairy farming, coffee production, fish farming, and piggery, as well as other 4-acre model enterprises.‎‎

Museveni also highlighted the success stories of individuals who have followed the NRM’s wealth creation guide in different parts of the country. ‎‎

He encouraged the people of Kabale District and the entire Kigezi Sub region to work together and overcome sectarianism and division in their pursuit of wealth creation.

‎‎He stressed the importance of having a wealthy mindset that looks beyond sectarian tendencies.‎‎

The NRM Presidential candidate also mentioned the development projects that the NRM government has implemented in Kabale District, saying these projects have contributed to the growth and development of the area, creating opportunities for the people.‎‎

Museveni also emphasized the significance of maintaining peace in the region for continued development.‎‎

He urged the people of Kabale to vote for the NRM in the upcoming general elections to protect the progress that has been made and push the country towards a higher middle-income status.

‎‎In addition to promoting agriculture, Museveni also highlighted the NRM’s plans for job creation through the establishment of industrial towns. ‎‎

He mentioned the industrial parks in Namanve, Mbale, Mukono, Kapeera, and other areas, which according to Museveni have already created over 1.3 million jobs.

‎‎He promised to scale up these efforts in his next term of office, creating even more opportunities for the people of Uganda.‎‎
