KASSOSA Sends Heartfelt Congratulations to Members Opito Vincent and Jalameso Fred on Their Election to Parliament‎‎

The Kangai Secondary School Old Students Association (KASSOSA) based in Dokolo, Uganda, has sent a congratulatory message to the newly elected Members of Parliament for Dokolo South Constituency and Ajuri County, Hon. Vincent Opito and Hon. Fred Jalameso.‎‎

In the parliamentary elections of January 15th, voters in Dokolo South county Ousts 6 – term Incumbent MP Felix Okot Ogong Citing ‘Nothing Done’ as Uganda’s Longest-Serving MP Falls.‎‎

UPC’s Vincent Opito polled 18,024 votes, leaving behind the incumbent MP Felix Okot Ogong NRM, who got 11,161, while Engwau Julius of the Democratic Party (DP) obtained 54 votes.‎‎

In Ajuri county Alebtong district, Fred Jalameso was declared winner of the election after garnering 16,336 votes against Denis Hamson Obua’s 15,568.‎‎

Obua is currently holding top positions like; Government chief whip, NRM party regional vice chairperson for Northern Uganda and member of Parliament for Ajuri county.

‎‎In a letter dated 27 January 2026 and signed by the association’s chairperson, Mr. Omoding George Rotary, the association, which represents former students of Kangai Secondary School, expressed their joy and pride in the success of their members in the recent parliamentary elections.

‎‎They described the victories of Hon. Opito and Hon. Jalameso as a victory for the entire association and their former school.‎‎

KASSOSA also highlighted the hope that their members’ election into parliament will bring new opportunities for their former school to thrive and improve.

‎‎They expressed their willingness to work with the MPs to achieve this goal.‎‎

The letter further stated that the association is grateful to be a part of the success story of Hon. Opito and Hon. Jalameso, and they will continue to support and celebrate their achievements.

‎‎Omodings George Rotary expressed their confidence in the leadership abilities of Hon. Opito and Hon. Jalameso and assured them of their full support.‎
