A middle-aged man, Ebong Lawrence, from Basere “A” cell in Northern Ward Dokolo town council, is in desperate need of financial aid due to a mysterious health complication.
His neck has been bulging since his teenage causing him immense pain and discomfort.
Mr. Lawrence Ebong revealed that he has sought medical help from various health facilities over the years, but to no avail.
Despite seeking medical treatment at various facilities, experts could advise Ebong to wait until he turned 26 before removing the “unnecessary developing arteries” on his neck.
Ebong explained that due to financial constraints, he was only able to undergo the surgery at the age of 33 saying the relief was short-lived as the bulge in his neck quickly grew back, causing even more complications in his body.
He said the intense pain he experiences makes it nearly impossible for him to carry out even the simplest of tasks. To make matters worse, he has been recently referred to Mulago National Referral Hospital for further treatment, which requires over 15 million shillings.

In an effort to help Ebong, Morris Ediau, also known as Morris Sirikinti, the assistant lay reader at Koroto Church of Uganda where Mr. Lawrence attends Sunday services, has taken it upon himself to rally well-wishers to raise funds for his medical care.
Ediau noted that upon visiting Lawrence’s family and witnessing his critical condition, he was determined to help in any way he could.
As the church plans to visit Ebong this Saturday to offer him support and encouragement, Ediau is gathering donations to cover the cost of his medical care.
Ebong, who is a father of three, is unable to provide for his family as he is unable to work. The children are also unable to attend school as their father is unable to afford their education.
