St. Peter’s Chapel Alapata was on Sunday filled with joy and gratitude as former aspirant in the Dokolo women representative by-election, Dr. Rosemary Alwoc, donated aid towards the construction of their church.
Dr. Alwoc, who ran under the FDC ticket, sent her representative Lino Okwir to deliver cash donation of 150,000 to the chapel, located in Alapata parish Bata sub county in Dokolo district.
In a heartwarming gesture, Dr. Alwoc reflected on her late mother’s love for church activities and vowed to continue in her footsteps by supporting the community, even though she is not currently in Parliament.
This act of kindness is a testament to Dr. Alwoc’s dedication to her community and her faith.
The chairperson of the chapel’s construction committee, Geoffrey George Okwir, expressed his gratitude to Dr. Alwoc and urged the community to remember and pray for those who contribute towards the construction of their church.
The Catechist of St. Peter’s Chapel Alapata, Joseph Ogwang, also extended his appreciation for the support received from Dr. Alwoc.
The Christians were overjoyed to see Dr. Alwoc’s continued support, despite not being voted into Parliament in the recent by-election.
Her commitment to helping churches and communities in need has earned her trust and admiration among the people of Dokolo.
This is not the first time Dr. Alwoc has demonstrated her dedication to supporting churches. Just recently, she donated 7 bags of cement to Teilwa Church of Uganda in Ocero Parish in Bata sub county and has promised to continue with more acts of kindness.
In another fundraising held on St. Mary’s C.O.U on Sunday Dr. Alwoc also sent a representative who delivered cash of 150,000 shilling only.
Her actions serve as an inspiration to others to lend a helping hand, especially towards causes close to their hearts.
