Dokolo, Uganda – Voters in Dokolo North county have appealed to their Member of Parliament, Moses Ogwal Goli, to prioritize household income generating activities in his second term of office.
The residents, who are seeking re-election of the incumbent MP, made the request during a campaign event in Bata Town Council, Dokolo North, Dokolo district.

According to the voters, Ogwal Goli has successfully handled food security in his first term of 2021-26 and now it’s time for him to focus on boosting their livelihood through income generating activities.
Betty Kia, a resident of Abino cell, explained that the MP should consider giving women different projects like poultry, adding that the donation of cassava cuttings by Ogwal Goli has already made a significant impact on family food security and feeding.
“MP Moses Ogwal Goli has done a great job in providing us with cassava cuttings, which has made food security and feeding easier for us. Now, we need his support in income generating activities like poultry and supporting saving groups,” Kia said.
Safia Akullo, another voter, noted that while Ogwal Goli has worked on key sectors such as roads, supporting burial processes, and other essential items, there are still a few areas that need attention.
“We want him to focus on projects like poultry, supporting saving groups, disbursement of other varieties of cassava stems, and repairing of broken boreholes among others in the area,” Akullo said.
Raphael Okello, the publicity secretary of the NRM party for Dokolo district, thanked Ogwal Goli for securing 37,000 hand hoes that will be given to the community in Dokolo North.
He also appealed to the MP to donate other varieties of cassava and support church construction in Dokolo North.
Morris KG Okao, the LCIII Chairperson of Agwata Sub county, urged the people of Dokolo North to elect Ogwal Goli, whom he described as a leader with capacities and abilities to lobby for projects that support the community.

“Moses Ogwal Goli is competent, intelligent, and a leader with visions for development,” Okao said.
In response to the voters’ requests, Ogwal Goli appealed to the people of Dokolo North to entrust him with another term to complete his remaining projects, including enhancing health sectors, road infrastructures, schools, and supporting other economic activities that can improve the economic status of the community.
“I call for massive support and favors from my electorates ahead of this forthcoming election. I encourage you to desist from political propaganda and political discrimination, which can bring hatred among ourselves,” Ogwal Goli said.
The voters’ appeal to Ogwal Goli comes as he prepares to face off against other five (5) candidates in the 2026-2031 parliamentary election.
