Transforming Education in Dokolo District: Over 100 Staffs Transferred to Enhance Pupil Success

‎‎In an effort to enhance the academic performance of learners in the district, the Dokolo District administration has recently made a bold move by transferring 11 Head teachers and 121 teachers to various government primary schools. ‎‎

This decision was announced by The Chief Administrative Officer of Dokolo, Granfil Oryondo Omonda, during a press conference on Monday.‎‎

He emphasized that these changes were necessary for the betterment of pupils and that the district administration is committed to providing the best learning environment for them.‎ ‎

The list of transferred Head Teachers includes prominent names such as Yeko Enyang from Adwila modern p/s to Koroto p/s as caretaker, Ruth Apio from Koroto p/s to Aderolongo p/s, and John Bosco Odung from Amonoloco to Bata p/s. ‎‎

Other notable transfers include Anthony Okwir from Bata to Amonoloco p/s, Richard Ogwang from Kachung p/s to Hassa memorial p/s, and Boniface Opio from Hassa memorial p/s to Kachung p/s, to name a few.‎ ‎

As per Omonda, these transfers were not made lightly and were based on various factors such as distance from their native homes, sickness, and family responsibilities. ‎‎

He also mentioned that some teachers and Head teachers had strained relationships with the community, which could affect effective teaching.‎

‎In light of this, Omonda cautioned the school authorities and community against rejecting the transferred teachers and Head teachers. ‎‎

He reminded them that these individuals were duly appointed by the district service commission and are the best fit for their respective positions.‎ ‎

Omonda also appealed to the transferred Head teachers to prepare their accountabilities and handover reports, which are scheduled to take place on 04th February 2026 at their respective schools.

‎‎He urged them to leave the school in good condition and to ensure a smooth transition for the benefit of students.‎
