Adeknino Seeds School Registers 29 Candidates for First UCE Exams Under Own Centre Number

‎Adeknino Seeds Secondary School in Dokolo has registered 29 candidates to sit for the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations for the first time under its own UNEB centre number U4675, 12 years after the school was founded.

‎The candidates were dedicated to God ahead of the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations.

‎The school, which started in 2014, had its first UCE candidates in 2017 without a UNEB centre number and was sitting examinations in other schools.

‎The 2026 candidates are now the first to sit UCE exams one year after the school acquired its centre number: U4675.

‎Rev. Ven. Paul Eguny, the Archdeacon of Dokolo Archdeaconry, who presided over the dedication prayers, emphasized that people must trust in God.

‎”Trust in the Lord, not your knowledge, because the Lord always strengthens you,” he said, quoting the book of James Chapter 1:5 which says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”

‎Denis Maxwell Okao, the Deputy Head Teacher of Adeknino Seeds Secondary School, asked students to be good people.

‎Susan Akoli, the Head Teacher, said these are the first candidates of the school under its own centre number and assured the diocese that the school is ready to do what the church wants.

‎She said the school is committed to giving students a brighter future and advised learners to prioritize having clean papers amidst challenges in the education sector.

‎Araca Samuel Ecir, who represented the PTA Chairperson, encouraged candidates to desist from fear that usually comes during examination time.

‎George Otim Toli, the interim Chairperson of the Board of Governors, said corruption in Uganda can only be stopped by religious leaders.

‎He said Ugandans are too religious but not Godly, which is why evil acts are still persisting, urging the community to be Godly rather than just religious.

‎Responding to the slogan of “there are three stones in education stakeholders,” he said a child is not among the stones, but it’s the parents, teachers and local leaders that must be the strongest stones to make a child ready for success. He related this to the three cooking stones and compared a child to the saucepan seated on the three stones to make food ready.

‎Olwa Calvin, a parent from Okwongodul, encouraged fellow parents to double their effort in investing in the education sector.

‎Molo Ceasor, the representative of the S4 candidates, thanked all education stakeholders who stood with them in their struggle.

‎

‎He acknowledged the effort of parents towards the development of Adeknino Seeds Secondary School.
