Nairobi – Uganda’s high commissioner to Kenya and Seychelles, Dr. Hassan Galiwango is dead.
According to Ministry of Foreign affairs, Galiwango died Monday morning at Nairobi Hospital where he had been admitted.
“He passed on this morning Jan 16th, 2023 at Nairobi Hospital where he has been undergoing treatment,” said Ambassador Charles Ssentongo, the Chief of Protocal in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a brief statement.
The late was the husband to Mbale City Woman Member of Parliament, Connie Nakayeze Galiwango.
Galiwango was appointed as the High Commissioner to Kenya in October 2020. He previously served as Director of Finance and Administration at the National Resistance Movement (NRM) secretariat.
The cause of his death is yet to be communicated by the government
