Update: Dokolo South MP, driver discharged from hospital

Dokolo – Dokolo South Constituency Member of parliament Hon Felix Okot Ogong and his personal assistant/ driver on Friday morning got involved in a nasty accident at Agwata junction along Dokolo – Soroti road.

According to a statement from the MP’s office, the duo was rushed to Lira Medical Center in Lira City for medical attention. After critical examination and assessement, they were both discharged to rest from home.

Office of Dokolo South Constituency Member of Parliament Hon Felix Okot Ogong would like to inform the general public that Honourable was this morning involved in an accident.

The accident occurred at Agwata junction, Agwata Town Council in Dokolo district when he was returning from a factory under construction.

Hon. Felix had gone with officials from the Uganda Development Bank to the factory site for a visit and assessment.

The accident was caused by a person who was carrying charcoal on his bicycle when he crossed the road abruptly and in an attempt to brake to save his life, the Honourable’s vehicle veered off-road and overturned.

The bicycle cyclist’s life was saved.

Hon. Felix and his personal assistant who was on board were rushed to Lira Medical Center in Lira City where an assessment was done and the results came out that they are all out of danger although they sustained minor bruises.

After critical examination and assessment, they were all discharged to rest from home.
