When the president fully reopened the economy, it was a starting whistle for the performing industry which was locked for a period of two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since then, media houses were congested with artists’ adverts making awareness of their set dates for their shows after the two-year break. Among them was Pastor Wilson Bugembe who staged a successful Concert dubbed “Katonda Wabanaku Mwen’o Esonga at Hotel Africana on Friday evening.

Not like other gospel artists, Bugembe’s show was graced by a swarm of circular artists including Bebe Cool, Nina Roz, Mike Wine, Mesach Ssemakula, Kabako, Exodus and Mike Wine among others.

The artists entertained the audience till 9:30pm when Bugembe finally stepped on stage.

The singer performed with huge cheers from the audience who sung along with him from the time he stepped on stage.

When addressing the media after the show, Bugembe revealed that the money he attained from the concert will be used to complete his Church in Nansana.

The church has a capacity of 6,000 people with Cinema Hall and sports ground.
