COVID-19: Children below 14 barred from accessing water points in Amolatar

The covid-19 task force of Opali sub-county in Amolatar district has issued a restriction banning children below 14 years old from accessing water points to collect water.
They want only adults to access water points to contain the spread of coronavirus since they can observe the standard operating procedures of containing the virus compared to children.
Besides, the task force asked residents of the sub-county to minimize admitting visitors without valid vaccination cards and test certificates in their midst to avoid the spread of infection.
Tom Isaac Abura, the LC III chairperson of Opali sub-county told LBS Radio that their meeting held over the weekend wants people to adhere to the safety guidelines issued by the government to mitigate the spread of the deadly virus.
Ocwer Osborn, the chairperson of Opali business community says they have deployed safety mechanisms in all the trading centers to allow that all people must strictly observe.
He however noted that some of their customers do not want to wash their hands before accessing shops as required.
