Lira– The diocese of Lira has set 4th August 2022 as the date for ordination of priests and deaconates at Lira ordination ground.
This was revealed in a letter dated 3rd July 2022 signed by Rt. Rev. Sanctus Lino Wanok, the diocesan bishop.
Wanok says that the candidates will be ordained into the order of priesthood.
He said as per the church law, all the Parishes and chapels under Lira diocese will make public announcements between 10th and 27th July 2022 to allow the christian faithful reveal impediments by the candidates to the bishop or priests before ordination.
The candidates called to the order of priesthood are deacon Daglas Ogwal of Loro Sub Parish, Rodgers Okello of Omoro Catholic Parish, Opio Emmanuel Etam of Dokolo Catholic Parish and Isaac Ojok of Aloi Catholic Parish.
Whereas those called to the order of Deconates are Seminarian Francis Otim of Aber Catholic Parish, Denis Okello Odyek of Anai Sub Parish, Leo Ocen of Boro-Boro Sub Parish and Ceaser Okello of Bala Catholic Parish.
