The Bishop of Lira Catholic Diocese Rt Rev Sanctus Lino Wanok will Thursday preside over the ordination of one priest and five deacons.
The ordination will take place at Uganda Matrys Cathedral Church Lira, unlike in the past, the Thursday event is only limited to 50 people.
The Vicar General of Lira Diocese Monsignor Innocent Valente Opio says the Diocese is upbeat about a successful ordination as all the preparations have been made to ensure a smooth process.
The preparations are categorized into two; Liturgical preparation for Eucharist Celebrations and the spiritual preparation of the candidates to receive the holy orders.
The Diocesan Vocations Director Rev.Fr.Denis Omara says the church is happy and blessed to receive the new clergy asking the Christian community to support the candidates through prayers so that their ordination and overall calling be for the good of the Church and God’s people.
