Lira City OWC boss laid to rest

Dokolo – The body of the fallen Lira City Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) Coordinator Rtd Capt Charles Olaka Binaisa was on Saturday laid to rest at his home in Otolemom-Oleo cell, Central ward, Dokolo Town Council in Dokolo district.

Capt Charles Olaka (68) shot himself dead from his residence in Otolemon-Oleo cell on February 28, 2022.

Brigadier General Bosco Omure, the regional coordinator OWC Lango, eulogised Olaka for being a great dedicated individual.

Rebecca Alwedo Ogole, the deputy mayor of Lira city also praised late Olaka for being dedicated during his tenure in Lira.

Rose Erem, the LC3 chairperson of Dokolo town council mentioned that some roads will be named after Olaka to hold his great memory of service.

“My dad loved farming, he is a man of no corruption and he is a forgiving person” Tonny Ocen, son to Olaka told mourners onu Saturday.

Other notable dignitaries who attended the burial include Francis Ojok, the production officer Amolatar district and Tom Odur Anang the clan head of Araki among others.
