UPDF Land Forces commander, Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has said Uganda is in high spirits as his fans celebrate his 48th birthday.
“The 48th birthday celebrations are all over the country,” said Muhoozi on Saturday at Kololo ceremonial grounds while flagging off the MK@48 run. “The country is on fire. Bushenyi was on fire last night,” he added in reference to a mega concert held in Ishaka on Friday night to celebrate his birthday.

“Let’s meet at Cricket Oval, Lugogo, for some more fun,” said Muhoozi. A music concert has been organized at Lugogo where Muhoozi will take part in the birthday celebrations.
“I want to thank all of you and all people of Uganda for the tremendous support. This is not about me, it’s about all of you. If you don’t look after your country, no one will,” he emphasized. The event attracted hundreds of participants who ran a stretch of 10 kilometres.
The Patriots Club, which organized the 48th birthday run for Muhoozi, handed an award to the General for his able-bodied leadership.
“We are celebrating we Muhoozi for uniting us,” said the Club’s leader, Paul Taremwa.
