Nabbanja donates Shs 10m to boost women’s projects

Kiboga. Premier Robinah Nabbanja was today in Kiboga Town Parish Church of Uganda, to preside over Mothers Union day celebrations.

According to World Bank, 28.3% of households in Uganda were led by women in 2019. Rather than consider themselves vulnerable, The Mothers Union members are involved in Beekeeping, Charcoal Bricket making and building projects. These are high income and highly profitable ventures which require resilience, hard work and an appetite for success.

The Premier lauded the Mothers Union for being proactive and encouraged them to continue embracing government development programmes.

She donated 10 million shillings to boost the women’s projects which threw the women into happy chants of ululation.

In her address, the Minister for Energy and Mineral development Ruth Nankabirwa Ssentamu encouraged members of the opposition to stop mere politicking and focus on promoting the government development agenda for all.

Bishop Emeritus Wilson Mutebi led the day’s service during the occasion that was also attended by area MP’s and the district leadership.
