The police publicist says a team of detectives has commenced investigations on the matter to ensure justice for the victim.

He added, “We do thank Sheeba for taking the courage to report the matter and assure the public that as Uganda Police we take matters of Gender Based Violence.

Few days ago, Sheebah publicly alleged that she was sexually assaulted by a VIP with SFC guards while at an event she was invited to perform.

In a video that was shared online, the singer, however, did not reveal the offender, where the act happened and when among other details.

A section of Ugandans then started pointing fingers at veteran Journalist Andrew Mwenda as being behind the assault, accusations he came out to deny.

Mwenda who is currently the managing Director, Independent Magazine termed Sheeba’s allegations as a public stunt.
