Kampala – Police at Central Police Station in Kampala are investigating circumstances under which a 45 year old Kenyan national collapsed and died in old taxi park, Kampala.
The incident happened on Saturday at around 5:00 pm at Mbale stage, Old Taxi Park in Kampala City.
It is alleged that before her death, the deceased identified as Lynet Mujuma, had been admitted at Mulago Hospital under the care of her cousin, Bernard Wafula.
“She decided to escape from hospital, but while she was seated in a taxi registration number UBC 512R, she collapsed and died on the spot.” Says Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson.
Owoyesigyire notes that police were called in and the body of the deceased was taken to the City mortuary for a post mortem as investigations into the cause of her death are ongoing.
