Wakiso – Police at Entebbe are investigating a fire outbreak that occurred today, Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at St Theresa Kisubi Girl’s School.
According to Luke Owoyesigyire the deputy spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan Police, the incident was reported to authorities at approximately 8 a.m. and is believed to have in the Primary Four Dormitory.
“Swift response from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Services prevented the fire from spreading further, successfully extinguishing it. We are relieved to report that no injuries or loss of life were recorded, as all pupils had safely evacuated the dormitory before the fire ignited,” said Owoyesigyire.
He however noted that all items within the dormitory were lost in the blaze.
Owoyesigyire said the exact cause of this fire remains unknown at this time.
“Our dedicated team of investigators is diligently working to uncover the circumstances leading to this incident. We are committed to establishing the precise cause and ensuring the safety and security of our educational institutions,” he said
