Dokolo. Returning officer Dokolo district Erikwaine Ngobi has called for a stakeholder’s meeting scheduled for February 12th to announce the Dokolo district by-election roadmap.
The election is being organized to fill the office of the woman member of Parliament Dokolo District after it fell vacant due to the sudden death of Hon Cecilia Barbara Atim Ogwal who died in an Indian hospital on 18th January 2024.
The meeting will also see the possible replacement of vacancies at the sub-county level.
In his letter dated 8th February 2024, Erikwaine says that the activities include a stakeholder’s meeting and press briefing which will take place at Dokolo district council Hall starting at 10:00 am.
“The electoral commission has approved a programme for the by-election of the district woman representative to Parliament Dokolo district and filling of other vacancies at sub-county level” the letter reads in part.
