The Exams body, Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) is set release the results for the 2020 Primary Leaving Examinations Friday 16th July 2021.

The release will be officiated by the first lady also Minister of Education and Sports Hon Janet Kataaha Museveni at State House Entebbe commencing at 11Am.

Hon Janet Museveni met with the officials from UNEB led by executive secretary Dan Nokrach Odongo Wednesday to get briefing as the body finalizes the processes to release the much anticipated results.

According to Principal Public Relations Officer of UNEB Jennifer Kalule Musamba the release exercise will be conducted in a scientific way in observance of standard operating procedures.

A total of 749,761 candidates sat for the examinations in 14300 centers across the country. 395,855  of the candidates were females meanwhile 353,855 were males.

Kalule says the performance of the 2020 candidates is comparable to that of the previous year

The results which ordinarily was set to be released in June was rescheduled following the upsurge in the number of cases in the country which led to the institution of lock down restrictions to contain the spread.

The Examinations were conducted in March 2021.
