OBITUARY. The President of Uganda People’s Congress party under Milton Obote Foundation has paid tribute to former Deputy Governor Bank of Uganda and a member of the party.
Mr John Robert Elangot died on Saturday 6th November 2021 after being in the intensive care unit at Kampala Hospital for a week undergoing medication.
Mr Jimmy James Micheal Akena the Party President praised Elangot for his dedicated services to the nation through his notable legacy, advisory and consultative services.
Akena said Elongat was an active member of the Uganda People’s Congress party who served under the Milton Obote Foundation in 1967.
“His passing on is a loss to the family, UPC fraternity Teso sub-region and the entire country, I understand that this is a very difficult situation but I pray to the almighty God to strengthen the family”, his tribute reads.
John Elongat will be laid to rest on Saturday 13th November 2021 in Serere District. END
